An original story inspired by ancient Mesopotamian mythology, Dumuzid is a 3D action-maze runner that features violence-optional gameplay.
You can control Dumuzid, or his sister Geshtinanna, as they try to escape from the underworld. Use stealth, speed, patience, and optionally combat to move past the nightmares that inhabit the regions outside of The Great City of the Dead as you make your way back to the world of the living, to heaven, and to your duty to continue the cycle of new life, growth, and harvest.

Drawing heavily on ancient Mesopotamian art, culture, language, and religion we are working to create a game that inspires interest in the study of these subjects. While not an ‘edutainment’ game, there is certainly educational value present, such as exposure to cunieform writing, the sounds of the Sumerian language, and the unique architectural styles found in ancient Mesopotamia.
Dumuzid is currently in the prototyping, concept art, and early modeling phase and we hope to begin releasing early test versions by Sumer 2021.
